Always starting at the zero mark, work around the plate making a slice at each slicing guide mark indicating the number of portions you desire, and voilà!
Perfect slices every time.
Tip: While the plat diviseur has slicing guide markings for up to 9 portions, to divide your cake into 10 or more portions simply follow these handy tips:
To divide into:
- 10 portions - cut into 5, then cut each portion in half
- 12 portions - cut into 6, then cut each portion in half
- 14 portions - cut into 7, then cut each portion in half
- 16 portions - cut into 8, then cut each portion in half
- 18 portions - cut into 9, then cut each portion in half
